Modern Computer Power Rulez!

I was running three virtual machines on my laptop and couldn't help but think, this is awesome.  I couldn't have imagined doing this 6-7 years ago.   That is three operating systems running in virtual machines.  Windows 2003, Windows XP,

Visual Studio.NET, C#, and Excel 2007...

...with a bit o' Office 07' thrown in for spice. This is my accumulated link listing that I've gathered over the last few days during research of Office 2007, and Excel 2007 specifically.  There are some links on deployment and issues between developing

Daily Blurbs, Keeping Up, and Some Links

Excel Project My current project is leading me in some interesting ways.  One of the major focus points that I'll be touching on is development with .NET against Excel and prospectively Excel Services.  Most of what I'll be working on is primarily

Back to the Agile

So I had an initial project kick off for this new effort I'm jumping into.  So far we've agreed to work by a fairly solid agile type methodology.  Not extreme or any of the other tenants of agile, but strong communication, people over tools,

Ugh, The Verbing Subjectized, Verbeeized!

Hello Blogosphere, This is my short rant on two words that drive me nuts and often make fairly educated people sound stupid. It reads, "- Produce well architected, efficient SQL within a complex data model. Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot database

A Renaming - Rogue, Mercenary?

I got to thinking about my work patterns and what I've been getting accomplished.  It far exceeds what I thought I would be remotely doing 10 years ago, even 5 years ago I've blown away my wildest "reasonable" expectations of the future.  In

Hectic, Crazy, No Time

So I've been going nuts lately, literally not having even a moment in the afternoon for a beer after work.  Next week though I'm going to have a beer after work for sure!  The insanity of tons of work is ebbing finally. The next big things I

Hackers, Crackers, Coders, WOWers N' Backspace

I go downtown to Backspace a lot, as often as possible.  Aside from riding around on the Streetcar with the ole' trusty laptop out Backspace is probably one of my top favorites for coding away.  Good coffee, good donuts and other such foods,
